How Legal Letters got started
After I graduated law school, friends who’d been taken advantage of would often come to me seeking advice:
- Their landlord wrongfully refused to return their security deposit
- A client didn’t pay an invoice
- They were sold a faulty car.
My go-to suggestion?
"Send a demand letter."
Someone who is trying to rip you off is usually counting on you feeling helpless and moving on. A letter from a lawyer is effective because it shows that you’re serious about standing up for yourself. I didn’t always want to do this myself though, and it can be difficult to find a lawyer to send a letter for you without paying an expensive retainer. Plus, I never really knew what kind of letters worked best. I figured that if I could test demand letters on a much larger scale, I could be much more effective. That’s why I started Legal Letters

What clients say
Legal Letters helped me resolve a contract dispute that I'd been losing sleep over—for months! I didn't think I'd be able to resolve it without it costing an arm and a leg. Legal Letters handled it for $199. It's a no-brainer.
I was trying to get my money back from a contractor who did a faulty job. I had probably called the guy a dozen times. He was totally ignoring me until Legal Letters got involved. I can't believe I didn't know about them earlier. I tell everyone I know about them if they're in a bad situation. Legal Letters can help.
